I have not been here in sometime.  They have remodeled the location and have a full bar.  The atmosphere is very casual and friendly however it is VERY LOUD.  Nothing that can be done about that but if you're looking for an intimate setting to have a conversation might not be the best place.

Ordered some basic sushi and it was very good.  Salmon and tuna rolls.  Nothing exotic.  My G/F ordered the ribs and they looked very good.  Nice and meaty.  She enjoyed them very much.

I would recommend making reservations especially during season.  Even off season it's a good hour wait on a slower evening.  Reservations we got in right away.

One of our favorites for seafood!  We love many of the dishes offered:  Crab Crusted Snapper entree (Hog Snapper is the fish served with mashed potatoes), Sofie Salad, Arthur's Volcano Salad, Hog Snapper & Lobster bisque, and the Lobster Gnocchi Gratin appetizer (very rich so highly recommend sharing).  We usually split an entree and appetizer unless we want leftovers. The entrees are a good size. The deserts are very tasty too:  key lime pie and lava cake. We love all things I mentioned. The atmosphere is cozy and can be quite loud when busy.  We love to go 'out of season' as there's usually no wait. In season the wait could easily be an hour. Sorry I didn't take any photos; we were in too big of hurry to eat the delicious food. I will try to take photos next time.
My daughter loves the coconut cream pie and sushi rolls. (We all love them.)
Update:  We have visited several times over the summer and have added Ouster Bombs and Tuna Poke Bowls (lunch menu) to our favorites.  There's so many more items to try and with their new renovation we might sit at the new bar!  I can't imagine anyone being disappointed.

I have never been more appalled or shocked by a restaurant staff in my entire life let alone the way it was handled!!

Upon ordering dinner I informed my server of my shellfish allergy and I ordered a spicy tuna roll but instead I was served  a shrimp tempura roll. SHRIMP. TEMPURA. ROLL. Even though I told the waitress  that I was a very allergic to shellfish (including but most importantly  shrimp) the staff messed up and served me a shrimp tempura rolll. (Accidents happen I get it but how it was handled is why I'm upset)

Fast forward to dinner where I almost take a bite of what is supposed to be my Spicy tuna roll but quickly noticed the "tuna" looked weird so I called the manager over. Instead of the manager apologizing to me about their obvious mistake he told me "nice job noticing that and thanks for not taking a bite" ????? I thought he was joking but clearly was not.

That was the one and only apology I got and the only item that was taken care of on our meal was our 1 roll that obviously wasn't touched. The manger probably wouldn't have talked to me if I didn't call him over twice.

Didn't apologize for anything, didn't try to fix the situation nor did either manager care about this situation in the slightest so I urge you to NOT EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES or expect your meal to be handled professionally.

Disgusted by tonight's management with not one but TWO different managers. Jared and Chris. Disgusting excuse for managers and a way to run a restaurant.

Hadn't been in a while, but nice to see that with new location and new look came the same amazing food I remembered. Great, attentive wait staff and excellent food--from the rich, delicious chowder to the crab crusted snapper. Definitely a casual, louder environment. But for great seafood, this is unmatched.

Hog Snappers has a lot going on for them. Everything I ordered was absolutely delicious. The crab chowder is just ridiculous of how good it is. I think I can eat a big bucket of it. The sushi rolls are bad ass too. And then you have the whole deep fried snapper sitting on a bed of coconut rice that is moist and perfect. I love this place and will definitely be back for more.
